Number coder and bar code registering. To have number and bar codes sticked on goods for exporting or selling in supermarkets, enterprises firstly sign up to EAN Vietnam.
EAN Vietnam shall issue the M code for enterprises and guide them to establish the goods’code (the I code).
Enterprises will have to pay signing up fees and annual fees for becoming members of EAN Vietnam.
Those two fees are made up by members congress, recorded in the EAN Vietnam’s memorandum and articles, and can be changed from time to time
One of the most important tasks of an enterprise while using the number and bar codes is to manage its I code according to a principle that “each code is relevant to one and only product”. Products that are different from others on nature (beer and soft drink for instance), on volume, on pakage…have their own different code. These codes will be continuously used along with the existence of such products. If products are innovated (changed on their volumes, packages…) new code for them shall be re-issued
