1. Registering In the U.S

Registering: There are 4 basis to apply for trademark registrationin the U.S:

- Actually use (trademark is use in fact at the time of applying)

- Potential use (at the time of applying, trademark may not be used in the U.S. However, it shall be used in 36 months from application date)

- Applied for registration in original nation (trademark has been filed for registration in original nation, particularly in Vietnam)

Documents to be filed

- Power of Attorney (signed)

- 15 sample trademarks

- List of goods or/and services

- Copy of Trademark Registration Certificate in Vietnam (if being registered through 3^rd basis)

Notes:

- Period for application examination: 15-18 months

- Period for protection : 10 years and can be extended for many times

- Categories of goods and services follow regulations in the U.S

2. Registering in Laos

Documents to be filed:

- 20 sample trademarks (for colored trademarks); 01 sample trademark (for black and white trademarks)

- Power of Attorney (Notarized)

- Listed of goods or/and services for registering

Time limitation for trademark registering

- 01-06 months (depending on actual amount of application being on process)

- Effect period: 10 years and can be extended for many times

3. Registering in Cambodia

Documents to be filed:

- 20 sample trademarks (for colored trademarks); 01 sample trademark (for black and white trademarks)

- Power of attorney (notarized)

- List of goods or/and services for registering.

Time limitation for trademark registration

- 04 months

- Effect period: 10 years and can be extended for many times

4. Registering in Taiwan

Documents to be filed:

- 15 sample trademarks (for colored trademarks); 01 sample trademark (for black and white trademarks)

- Power of attorney (prepared by WINLAW)

- List of goods or/and services for registering

Time limitation for registering: 08-10 months

5. Registering in Hong Kong

Documents to be filed:

- 20 sample trademarks (within the size of 8x8 in maximum)

- Power of attorney (prepared by WINLAW)

- List of goods or/and services for registering

Registering period: 12 months

6. Registering in Thailand

Documents to be filed:

- 20 sample trademarks (within the size not exceeding 8x8)

- Power of attorney (prepared by WINLAW)

- List of goods or/and services for registering

Registering period: 10-14 months from application date.

7. Registering in Japan

Documents to be filed:

- 20 sample trademarks (within the size not exceeding 8x8)

- Power of attorney (prepared by WINLAW)

- List of goods or/and services

Registering period: 13-15 months from application date

8. Registering in Korea:

Documents to be filed:

- 20 sample trademarks (within the size not exceeding 8x8)
